The hottest AEM innovations from Adobe Summit 2025
AEM Champions, including RENY's Rami El Gamal, recap Adobe Summit 2025: AI agents and Agent Orchestrator, new AEM Sites and Assets features, and developer tools.
In this AEM Champion session for the EMEA region, AEM Champions, including RENY director Rami El Gamal, recapped the most important Adobe Experience Manager announcements from Adobe Summit 2025, from AI agents to new features for authors, asset managers, developers and administrators.
What the session covers
- AI agents and Agent Orchestrator: Adobe's approach of many specialized agents working together across Experience Cloud, with examples such as Sites Optimizer and Brand Concierge.
- AEM Sites for authors: the new home screen, the AI Assistant, Experience Generation, Sites Optimizer and Document Authoring.
- AEM Assets for asset managers: metadata enrichment, duplicate detection, translated captions and audio, brand validation, Content Advisor, semantic search, a Figma integration, Dynamic Media templates and Content Hub.
- Developers and administrators: Experience Catalyst, filtering pipelines, permission management, release management, new security screens and visual comparisons.
Key takeaways
- Agents react, not just report. Unlike rule-based automation, an AI agent perceives its environment, analyzes it and can act. Some agents act for you, some suggest an action and some only inform.
- Many small agents, one orchestration layer. Adobe is splitting the work into specialized agents (site, asset and content optimization, for example) that share data and work together, rather than one mega-agent.
- Sites Optimizer goes beyond Lighthouse. It looks at how visitors experience a page, not only load metrics, and can recommend or apply fixes.
- The new Assets interface is where new features land. Start using it alongside the classic Touch UI, because Adobe is putting new capabilities there first.
- Governance is catching up with content volume. Brand validation (with rules from GenStudio), the Figma integration and Content Hub permissions all aim to keep content on brand as AI speeds up creation.
- Document Authoring suits simpler, fast sites. It does not replace AEM, but it is a strong option when speed to launch and performance matter most.
RENY's perspective
RENY presented the AI agents and AEM Assets sections. Our advice: before asking whether you can use AI agents, understand what they are, and start experimenting with the new Assets interface, Content Hub and GenStudio now, because that is where Adobe's roadmap is heading. Our favorite Assets announcements were the Figma integration and Dynamic Media templates, which let teams overlay translatable text and links on images and, over time, personalize them.
Since Summit 2025
Several of these features were in preview or early access at the time. Check Adobe's release notes for what is now generally available in your AEM as a Cloud Service environment.
